TWENTY SIXTEEN PART TWENTY NINE
Hello folks,
Ruth has put her ring valued at R7000 on OLX through Daniel earlier this week.
Now have an interested buyer. He and Ruth will meet the interested party halfway, at Hartebeesport dam tomorrow.
14th July Ruth borrows R200 from Danny for diesel to get there. After all that the guy only wants to pay R2000 - what a waste of time and money.
Danny spends the rest of the day with us - from approximately 2pm to 6pm trying to sort out Paypal's verification. Lots of confusion. Eventually he discovers that Ruth spelt a word wrong in my email address so although Paypal received the money the verification was sent to a non-existent email address.
Don't know what to do next. Looks as though we will never get a transcription job up and running to meet our obligations. The end of August is looming on the horizon - we need to make the rent for a roof over our heads.
Fighting hard to keep my faith. I know that I am "Saved" I never ever doubt that, but now all sorts of thoughts run rampant in my mind.
"Maybe it is not God's will for me to do transcription work. Maybe this is why I am being blocked at every turn. But if this is so, where will our rent come from at the end of August? Steve and Andy cannot do more than they are already doing and Daniel has his own problems.
"Don't think this way," I admonish myself ,
" Trust God. He is in control."
"This plan of Mine is not what you would work out, neither are My ways your ways, for just as the heavens are higher than the earth so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts."
Isaiah 55: 8
Wait upon the Lord - He is teaching us this lesson.

JOKES
A man who appears to be as bit "tipsy" boards a train takes a seat next to a priest, settles down and opens his newspaper.
His tie is stained and askew. His face is smeared with a bright red lipstick in the shape of smudged lips and a half a bottle of gin is sticking out of his torn coat pocket. His hair looks as if it last saw a comb a week ago and he smells of old beer.
After a while he looks up from his newspaper and says,
"Father what causes a person to get arthritis?"
"Well son, it is caused from too much alcohol, looseliving, sleeping around with prostitutes, and lack of hygiene,"
"Well I am really shocked. I didn't know that."
and he returns to his newspaper.
Thinking about what he has just said, the priest nudges the man and apologizes
"I am truly sorry about that, I really didn't mean to come on so strong. How long have you had arthritis?"
"Oh, I don't have it father. I was just reading an article in this newspaper that says that the Pope has it."

MY FAVORITE PSALMS - PART TWENTY NINE
I will hear what God, the Lord will speak. For He will speak peace unto His people. And to His saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
Surely His mercy is nigh them who fear Him that glory may dwell in our land.
Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the earth and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
Yea the Lord shall give that which is good and our land shall yield her increase. Righteousness shall go before Him and shall set us in the way of His steps.
Bow down Thine ear and hear me for I am poor and needy. Preserve my soul for I am holy. O Thou my God save Thy servant that trusteth in Thee.
Be merciful unto me O Lord, for I cry daily unto Thee.
Rejoice the soul of Thy servant; for unto Thee O Lord do I lift up my soul. For Thou O Lord art good and ready to forgive: and plenteous in mercy, unto them that call upon Thee.
Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon Thee, for Thou will answer me.
Among the gods there is none like unto Thee., O Lord, neither are there any works like unto Thy works.
All nations which Thou hast made shall come and worship before Thee, O Lord, and shall glorify Thy Name. For Thou art great and doest wondrous things. Thou art God alone.

AWESOME GOD
PLAN OF SALVATION
(part two)
copied from ESV Bible
The story of Redemption
So the story of Redemption and sacrifice begins, and it is repeated throughout the Word of God, culminating in the coming of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on our behalf.
We discover through the Bible that a personal relationship with God is not dependent on good works that we do, or on church membership, or even on living a highly moral life. Rather, God's amazing grace is the fountain through which redemption flows to us.
Separated from God by sin and guilt, we all face two primary spiritual needs.
First, we need to be restored to fellowship with God. We are truly guilty before God and therefore we must find forgiveness. We must face the problem of our sin, and there is no answer to this need within ourselves. The only answer is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Second, we need power to change our lives. Our sin reveals the depravity of our heart - the selfishness, the lust, the greed, the pride, and the anger that are so destructive. "the heart," God says, "is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick." (Jeremiah 17:9) if we are going to be changed something must be done in our hearts to turn our lives around.
Jesus taught that "unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3)
Only the blood of Jesus can take away the guilt of our sin, and only the Holy Spirit can come into our hearts and make us new people.
Redemption through Christ
Redemption often involves the concept of purchasing something back that has been lost by the payment of a ransom. It can mean a deliverance from some sort of confinement; such as the case with the deliverance of the children of Israel from the bondage to slavery in Egypt. (Exodus 14: 29-30 + 15:2)
There are many passages in the New Testament that represent Christ's suffering as a ransom or price and the result secured is a purchase or redemption (Acts 20:28; 1st Corinthians 6:19-20;
Galatians 3:13; 4: 4-5; Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14 ; 1st Timothy 2: 5-6; Titus 2:14;
Hebrews 9:12; 1st Peter 1:18-19; Revelation 5:9;)
The idea running through all these texts is that of a payment made for our redemption. Jesus paid the penalty for our sin and redeemed us.
The penalty for our sin and rebellion is death; Jesus stepped in and laid down His life and took the penalty we deserve. The debt against us is not viewed as simply cancelled but as fully paid. Both the Old and New Testaments proclaim salvation as an accomplished fact. Christ's blood or life which He surrendered for us is the "ransom" by which we are freed from sin.
"Blood" is mentioned 460 times in the Bible. Fourteen times in the New Testament. Jesus spoke of His Own Blood. Why? Because by the shedding of His blood on the cross, He accomplished the salvation of everyone who believes.

TWENTY SIXTEEN - PART TWENTY EIGHT
Hello folks,
Today after Ruth finished working on my laptop I decide to transfer the rest of the data from the "gallery" of my tablet to my laptop as well as my "Seagate expander" as the tablet is hopelessly overcrowded. (was worried that I could lose all the data if the tablet should crash).
Sat until 1.30am , but during this time period the battery went flat and my "Du Battery" widget showed that it wasn't charging when plugged in to the electricity supply. I could work on it while plugged in but it was not retaining the electricity supply.
On top of this problem I now only have one workable usb cable out of three, the other two no longer work.
Now both laptop and tablet only work when plugged into a electricity supply socket. Both batteries need replacing and there are no funds. Just plod on and keep trusting in the Lord.
Too tired now to delete the transferred data. Will do it tomorrow.
Now can't sleep. Too cold even with electric blanket on. Also too overtired as well, most probably.
Monday 11th July. Still no verification from Paypal.
12th July - 63.30m wide awake. Eyes are really giving me trouble now. Straining them too much.
Did some research on battery. Did some "clicking" and accidently tablet's battery is in full working condition again. How's that for miracles?
13th July - glad I didn't manage to delete transferred data on tablet. Still have lots of "sorting" to do first.

ANOTHER BLONDE JOKE
A blonde goes into the supermarket and asks the salesman:
"How much is that television in the corner?"
Salesman: "Sorry lady I do not serve blondes."
Blondie goes home and dyes her hair brown and then returns to supermarket.
Again she asks the salesman the same question and gets the same answer.
Goes home dyes her hair black and goes back and asks a different salesperson the same question and again gets the same answer.
"How do you know that I am a blonde she demands?"
"Because lady, that is not a television it is a microwave oven."
