TWENTY SEVENTEEN
PART 28
Hello folks,
Let us now go back to Sunday the 9th - power
goes off at 8.30pm - Ruth goes to the bathroom window and sees that the neighbors across the road have power so now we know exactly
where the problem lies.
She goes over to A+A's house - Mr A comes
to the door and says he cannot help it if
Escom power keeps going off. Ruth points out
that the neighbors have power he does not
know what to say. Monday 10th power off
again - usual story. She sends Mr A an SMS .
He sends one back saying that for the past
two years the power cost him R2000.00 per
month and now it has gone to R8000.00 - he
is going to increase the rents. (I wonder what
he expects when he gives five of his workers families free power) and there is a total of 11 families living on the property.
Tuesday 11th they switch power off again at
6pm, but for a short period. Just enough for
the TV to go off in the middle of a program
and we miss half of it because the TV has to
go through the scanning process which, as
you know all know, takes quite a while.
Ruth has now informed Steve of the problem
and he is not amused. He also knows of the potential sale of the property to the tall black
guy.
12th July - it is a month to the day that our
Danny was taken from us. Many tears have
rolled off our cheeks, but praise be to God
He gives us the strength to carry on. Today
I must type Ruth and my wills - we were
leaving everything to Danny, but now that
he is gone we will have to leave it to Steve
and Andy.
I have typed our wills
but have felt too ill to
do anything with them
they are now sitting on
my laptop waiting to be
sent to Ruth for printing
but she too has been too
sick to do anything.
It is switching off power again tonight. Power goes off for a few minutes then just as the television finishes scanning it goes off again.
This is repeated 5 times in less than 15 minutes.
I give up and switch the television off.
When Ruth confronts A he says he is not so
stupid as to walk up and down to switch the
power off, but whoever does it does not have
to walk up and down , it goes on and off in
very short periods you would have to stand
there to do it.
We are praying and asking God to help us, so
that we can leave this place.
