TWENTY SIXTEEN - PART TWENTY ONE

                                  Hello folks, 

  It is now the 5th May.               Had appointment this               morning to check  my               hearing aid. Doctor found a blockage which he fixed.       So much for my imagination   that the hearing aid was not    working.  I had been accused   of pretending it was not working. I just cannot win. 

I have learned to humbly walk away.  Silence is the best answer. Cry myself to sleep at night.  Living with  Bi polar is a very painful excercise.

6th May  - Very subdued atmosphere now.  Told I must cook on the days when we have a maid so that there is someone to clean up my mess. She will cook on the days when there is no maid. When I asked her how she will cook on a Sunday when she goes to church she said she will get home early enough. 

7th May - typed 4 blog posts, approximately 6 pages of 400 words each, = 2400 words, plus adding images etc. 

It is very cold. Has been for a few weeks now.

8th May - Sunday - Mother's day

Steve phoned at 8.45 am to wish me a happy day.

No movement from Ruth's room as yet. She is apparently not going to church today.

Andy sent SMS  he tried to phone but couldn't get through. Something wrong with my phone.

Danny sent message on whatsapp.

Haven't been feeling too good lately.

21st May - amazing how the time passes - I haven't made any notes  for the past two weeks, due to not being well. Had another excrutiating gout and arthritis attack  in my wrists. not to mention the pain in my back.


     I usually take                            "Arthro guard" on a                   daily basis, plus garlic             pills for my immune                 system, and various                 other suppliments, but             there are no funds for               these luxuries anymore.


Not to worry, my God is in control. He still leads me and guides me. As long as I have Him, I have all I need. 

During the past few weeks in spite of my aches and pains I have tried to keep up my typing practice and have fortunately been able to keep up with my blog.

Praise be to God for giving me the ability to do so.  Some days my typing is excellent then on others I struggle to put my fingers on the right keys. 

Bi polar continues to raise its ugly head on occasion, but my Lord gives me the self control needed to avoid nasty situations.

ONE JOKE

                                          John suffers from           a weak heart and             wins $25,000.00             in a competition. 


Everyone know about his condition, so the organizers, worried about how it will affect his heart  send his  church minister to break the news to him.

The minister knocks on John's door and when seated they talk for a while and then the minister says;


"John what would you do if I told you that you are the winner of the $25000.00 competition?"

"Well Reverend, if that is true then I will give you half of it."

The minister has a heart attack and dies on the way to the hospital.

RECIPE TIME

                                           SPICY CHICKEN                                                    WINGS

Ingredients

1 kg  chicken wings 
4 Tbls  Tomato sauce
4 garlic crushed garlic cloves
3 Tbls brown sugar
2 Tbls chutney
4 Tbls  soy sauce
4 Tbls  mayonnaise
4 Tbls  fresh milk

Heat the oven to 200C/180C

Mix the mayonnaise and milk in a bowl, then add all the other ingredients with the exception of the chicken wings and mix well. Also add some seasoning to taste and tip the chicken wings into the mixture coating them well. 



 Transfer to a large          roasting tray in a single   layer and roast for 35     to 40 minutes.    




these chicken wings were grilled in the microwave oven using the same ingredients.

TWENTY SIXTEEN PART TWENTY

                                      Hello folks, 


      this is the week I have             to get my hearing aid               sorted out. Terrible not             to be able to hear properly.

      It is now 19th April.Ruth         is not well. No money for         her medication and                   medical aid depleted.

Sent e-mail to lawyer re account for settlement. Another woe to our numerous others. 

Ruth put typing course software onto my laptop.

20th April - Ruth really ill today. Stomach cramping, nausea etc. She sent  me urgent message from bathroom asking me to phone Daniel as she needed urgent medication. Very traumatic. I thought she was dying. I am too old now for this type of thing. 


Daniel brought medication, in the region of R450 but we cannot pay him until end of the month. He seemed very disappointed. He is battling himself and cannot afford this. He was not even told that we can't pay him yet, only found out once he had bought the meds.  I really feel bad for him.

21st April - battling with blog - must whatsapp Ryan again but every day something else happens and I just don't get it done.

Practicing my typing in order to get my speed and accuracy marketable. Cannot get comfortable, no proper typing/office chair.

27th April. Erica came for lunch today. Ruth still not well. She is lacking her medication.  And I am battling to hear.  Hearing aid still not sorted. Ruth does not believe that the hearing aid is not working. She says I am imagining it. She seems to love judging me.

28th April - Power off while working on P.C. 
Ruth switched the generator on and left as she has an appointment with Joshua at the church. 

When the power came back on I switched the generator off but as I am unable to reach the power point to reconnect the P.C. (It is too low for me and at my age I cannot bend or go down on my knees.)  I have to wait for her to come back, before I can continue.

                                            

 Her appointment was              for 9am - it is now                    12.30 midday and I                   am still waiting.




2nd May - Bi polar is back. I am ordered out of kitchen and forbidden to wash dishes. I do it so badly that she has to redo them anyway etc etc.

3rd May Bi polar back in full force. I left the dishes as ordered, but  still intended  washing them when I finished on the laptop, but she got home before I could.

I asked her whether I could do anything to help and she "did her nut,"   because 'she has to come home to a dirty kitchen'  She doesn't remember that she forbade me to wash the dishes.

I then washed the dishes with her permission and then asked her whether I could talk to her without her "blowing her top."  She agrees, but loses her temper anyway.  Half the dishes were what she had used and dirtied, but she blames me for the cockroaches that were here before we moved in  I am breeding them because I am so messy.

It is her kitchen and I shouldn't be in it. 

She also fired Loveness and picked a new domestic on the road. Name of Anna, starting work tomorrow.  

4th May Anna starts work today, and I fell off the bed. Slid off actually, I  didn't get hurt, but was unable to get up off the floor.  Sitting on the floor is certainly not comfortable. I shouted for Ruth,  a number of times but she did not hear me.

Fortunately Anna heard me and came to investigate and called Ruth who then helped me to get up on my feet.

What would I do without God. He is the One Who sustains me and helps me through these trials. Without Him I certainly wouldn't be around anymore.  He is teaching me patience and longsuffering  and love and endurance. I praise and worship Him. He is my God. He is my everything. When He has finished molding me, I shall come forth as gold.

                                           A Plane take off from Heathrow airport on  its way to Canada. 

   A  message comes  over the intercom.


"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking, the weather ahead is good, so we can look forward to a smooth flight. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the trip.....     OH. MY GOODNESS!"


There is complete silence for a few minutes, then the captain's voice continues..


"Ladies and gentlemen, I am sorry if I scared you, but a flight attendant accidintly dropped a mug of hot coffee into my lap!  You should see the front of my pants."


A loud voice at the other end of the plane yells:

"You should see the back of mine."

AWESOME GOD AND FAITH

                                           GOD DESIRES FAITH       FROM HIS                         CHILDREN

What then is Faith ?

"Now faith is the  assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it men of old gained approval." 
Hebrews 11: 1-2

When we have the kind of faith God desires for us, we will trust Him completely. Faith is two things first it is being sure of God's promises to us (the assurance of things hoped for) and second it is being sure that the invisible God does exist (the conviction  of things unseen) .

Fear is one of the enemy's most powerful weapons that he uses against us to break down our faith. Fear, anxiety and worry can overwhelm us to the extent that we are so burdened that we cannot think clearly. 

 I myself have sometimes been so overwhelmed, with fear that I felt like giving up. But where would I go without my God, what would I do without Him. Life would not be worth the living. He has never let me down. I have known what it is to have plenty and I also know what it is to have nothing. But in all of this He has always been there for me. 

The best way to fight fear is to be saturated with God's Word. There is real power in them, for they come straight from God. They are words of "life" calming and soothing to our souls.

You can choose not to allow fear to overwhelm you, by reading and memorizing God's promises.

Here are a few:

    with you; do not be           dismayed for I am your     God. I will strengthen        and help you. I will           uphold you with My           righteous right hand. "     Isaiah 41:10

RECIPE TIME

                                                CRUMPETS

                                               Ingredients

       2 cups cake flour
       level tsp salt
       2 eggs
        1 cup milk
                                                  4 Tbls sugar
                                                  4 tsp baking                                                               powder

METHOD

Mix flour, salt and sugar in a bowl
beat eggs and milk
add to flour mixture and mix well
lastly add baking powder stirring well.

If mixture is too thick, it should be the consistency of thick cream, add more milk.

drop by spoonfuls onto a hot griddle pan or fry on top of stove using oil in pan.

TWENTY SIXTEEN - PART NINETEEN

Hello Folks, 

It is now 15th April.
 Sally attacked Vlooi again        today. I separated them            with my walker. Ruth is  at her wits end, doesn't know what to do about it anymore. Sally no longer on her calming medication as we can no longer afford, it.

 Also discovered my reading  glasses have gone missing.  They are not in their case. Ruth and I  have both searched everywhere with no success. Tomorrow I  will ask Loveness whether  she has seen them. I am lost without them, my eyes are taking strain.

A few months ago my favorite necklace also vanished into thin air. This was while Rose was still here.

15th April

The day hasn't started well, my glasses are still missing. Loveness  also searched to no avail. 

Steve hasn't paid in the promised funds - hadn't done it on Wednesday as we had previously requested so we just sat back and waited, as we knew better than to prod him again. 


  Now my hearing aid has         gone dead. Ruth changed         the battery but no                     improvement.  





Forced to phone Steve for funds, but went onto voicemail. As situation is now urgent also phoned Sue. They were on their way back from Sondela Nature Reserve. I could hear her clearly at first, but then the line went bad so I called out for Ruth but when I got no reply I asked Sue to hold on while I took the phone to Ruth.

By the time I found Ruth (she was on the front veranda with the door closed, so she didn't hear me calling her) Sue had hung up, which annoyed me.  I was also upset with Ruth because she knows I can't always hear without my hearing aid and need her to take over, but then she up and disappears.

 I was now in self-pity mode and had a good cry. Ruth comforted me, she didn't realize what all this trauma was doing to me.

Around 3pm Steve paid the funds into the bank - too late for Ruth to do the necessary shopping. At about the same time I was sitting on the veranda
when Ruth discovered my spectacles in the basket of my walker. She was standing next to the walker and when she looked down the glasses caught her eye.

I had put them on the top of my Samsung tablet on the walker seat on Wednesday while on my way to another room and I was unaware that  they had slidden  off  into the basket.

We both thanked and praised 
God for showing us where 
they were. It was a miracle 
that Ruth looked down and
 saw them in the basket -
 she just had a glimpse of
 them because the basket has
 a lid (seat)  which you
 cannot see through.

HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED THE AWESOMENESS OF OUR ALMIGHTY GOD - PART THIRTEEN
