    ONE HEARTBEAT             AWAY

      PART 83

And Paul went even further;  He said that if
Jesus did not rise from the dead, our faith is
in vain. It is nothing but a big hoax. And yet
all of Jesus' followers were willing  to die for 
their faith because they had each seen the resurrected Savior!

The former treatise (the Book of Luke) have 
I made, O Theophilus. of all that Jesus began
both to do and teach. 
Until the day in which He was taken up. After
that, He through the Holy Ghost had given
commandments to the apostles whom He had 
chosen.
To whom also He shewed Himself alive after 
His passion by many infallible proofs of Him
being seen of Him forty days, and speaking of
the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
(Acts 1: 1-3)

I was at an Arts Festival one day, talking with
two ladies, they told me how they just could 
not believe that Jesus was the only way to
heaven. I spent some time talking with them
about the life of Jesus, the death of Jesus, and
then the resurrection of Jesus.

When I got done talking 
about the resurrection,
one lady looked at me and  said    " If
that man rose from 
the dead, He can 
make the statement that He is the only way to get  to heaven."

Even she, who did not believe in Jesus,  knew
that if someone predicts His own death, predicts
that He will get out of the grave, and then 
actually does it, then you can believe what else
He says.

A lot of things can be said about Jesus, but one
thing is for certain. His resurrection from the
dead puts Him in a different category from 
everyone else who has ever walked on planet
earth. 

He predicted His death, and predicted He would
rise from the dead, and He did just that.
Mohammed could not do it. Buddha could not do
it. Confucius could not do it. 

Not only could Jesus do it. He did it!
