MY FAVORITE PSALMS - PART FORTY TWO

MY FAVORITE PSALMS -
 PART FORTY TWO

Lord, Thou hast been    our dwelling place for  all generations.

Before  the  mountains were  brought forth or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world;  even from everlasting to everlasting Thou art God.

Thou turnest men to destruction and sayeth Return ye children of men.

For a thousand years in Thy sight is as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

Thou carried them away as with the flood; they are as a sleep; in the morning they are as grass that groweth up. In the morning it flourishes and
groweth up and in the evening it is cut down and withereth.

For we are consumed by Thy anger and by Thy wrath we are troubled.

Thou hast set our iniquities before Thee, our secret sins in the light of Thy countenance. For all our days are passed away in Thy wrath; we spend our years as a tale that is told.

The days of our years are threescore and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off and we fly away.

Who knoweth the power          of Thine anger?  Even            according to Thy fear so          is Thy wrath.
So teach us to number             our days that we may               apply our hearts to                   wisdom.

Return, O Lord, how long? and let it repent Thee concerning Thy servants.

O satisfy us early with Thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad in all our days.

Make us glad according to the days wherein Thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

Let Thy work appear unto Thy servants and Thy glory unto their children. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish Thou the work of our hands upon us, yea, the work of our hands establish Thou it.

DID JESUS RISE FROM THE DEAD ? (5)

DID JESUS RISE            FROM THE DEAD?                    (5)

  {copied from
   Y-Jesus. com}

Was Jesus Dead?

"Marley was deader than a doornail, of that there is no doubt." So begins Charles Dicken's  "A Christmas carol", the author not wanting anyone to be mistaken as to the supernatural character of what is soon to take place. In the same way, before we take on the role of CSI  and piece together evidence for a resurrection, we must first establish that there was, in fact, a corpse.

After all , occasionally the newspapers will report on some "corpse" in a morgue who was found stirring and recovered. Could something like that have happened with Jesus?

Some have proposed that Jesus lived through the crucifixtion and was revived by the cool damp air of the tomb. But that theory doesn't square with the medical evidence.

An article in the Journal of the  American Medical Association explains why this so-called "swoon theory" is untenable. "Clearly, the weight of historical and medical evidence indicated that Jesus was dead. The spear thrust between His right ribs, probably perforated not only the right lung, but also the pericardium and heart and thereby ensured His death."  But skepticism of this verdict may be in order as this case has been cold for 2000 years. At the very least we need a second opinion.

One place to find that is in the reports of non-Christian historians from around the time when Jesus lived.  Three of these historians mentioned the death of Jesus.

Lucian (c.120 - after c.180) referred to Jesus as a crucified  sophist (philosopher)

Josephus (c.37 -c.100) wrote  " At this time there appeared Jesus, a wise man, for he was a doer of amazing deeds. When Pilate condemned him to the cross, the leading men among us, having accused him, those who loved him did not cease to to do so."

Tacitus (c.56 - c.120) wrote "Christus, from whom the name has its origin, suffered the extreme penalty ... at the hands of our procurator, Pontius Pilate."

This is a bit like going into the archives and finding that on one spring day  in the first century, The Jerusalem Post ran a front-page story saying that Jesus was crucified and dead.  Not bad detective work and conclusive.

In fact, there is no historical account from Christians, Romans, or Jews that disputes either Jesus' death or burial.  Even skeptical scholars who deny the resurrection agree Jesus was dead.
Noted skeptic James Tabor stated, " I think we need have no doubt that given Jesus' execution by Roman crucifixion he was truly dead."

John Dominic Crossan, co-founder of the notoriously skeptical Jesus Seminar agrees that Jesus really lived and died. He states, "That he was crucified is as sure as anything historical can ever be."

In light of such historical and medical evidence, we seem to be on good grounds for dismissing the first of our five options.  Jesus was clearly dead, "Of that there is not doubt "

TWENTY SIXTEEN - PART THIRTY EIGHT

TWENTY SIXTEEN -             PART THIRTY EIGHT

  Hello folks,

I have been having hives attacks again at night. Night before last I had to take two allergex tabs to get me through the night, so tonight a take my second last Citiset tab to prevent another attack and still have a mild one, where I have to use Zinc ointment as well.

20th October, Ruth off to town to sell her diamond ring. Has to first get evaluation certificate for which our friend gives the money. She tells Ruth not to sell the ring before talking to her first.(Perhaps she wants to buy the ring.)

Before Ruth left  she also suggested that we negotiate a barter with Amanda - our coin collection valued at over R55000 for 5 months rent - I agree but we are uncertain of whether this would be acceptable.

Wait on the Lord, do what we can but leave the rest to Him.

Ran out of airtime and data on tablet yesterday so can no longer even send a whatsapp. So I am frugally using sim from phone to work on laptop, as there is very little data there.

21st October -  Ruth bakes cake for my birthday on 23rd, and one for Amanda and Andre.

I have to continually fight to keep my mind on happy things, like praising God and clinging to His Word. When I allow myself to think about the mountain in front of us I get despondent and my faith grows weak.

I know that God is in                control. I know He rules
 the universe. I know that
He is Lord of Lords, and  King of  Kings. He owns  everything - He just has to speak and everything will change.

I also know that nothing can happen to me without His consent. And He will only allow hard things to happen for a reason. He is  molding me and pruning me to become the person He wants me to be.

What I do not understand is that knowing this I still become despondent and gloomy against my will.

I must make myself remember that no matter how I feel it does not change Who God is.  He loves me and has promised never to leave me nor forsake me.

"He is the author and perfecter of my faith."

MY FAVORITE PSALMS - PART FORTY ONE

MY FAVORITE PSALMS -
 PART FORTY ONE

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; with my mouth will I make known Thy faithfulness unto all generations.

For I have said, Mercy shall be built up forever
Thy faithfulness shalt Thou establish in the very heavens. And the heavens shall praise Thy wonders O Lord. Thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord?

God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about Him.

O Lord God of hosts who is strong Lord like unto Thee?  Or to Thy faithfulness round about Thee?

Thou rulest the raging of the sea when the waves thereof arise. Thou stillest them. Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; Thou has scattered Thine enemies with Thy strong right arm.

The heavens are Thine,          the earth also is Thine; as      for the world and the              fulness thereof  Thou hast      founded them.

The North and the South Thou hast created them.

Thou hast a mighty arm; strong is Thy hand and high is Thy right hand.

Justice and judgement are the habitation of Thy throne, mercy and truth shall go before Thy face. Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound; they shall walk, O Lord God, in the light of Thy countenance.

In Thy Name shall they rejoice all the day and in Thy righteousness shall they be exalted. For Thou art the glory of their strength, and in Thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

For the Lord is our defense and the Holy One of Israel is our King. Blessed be the Lord forevermore.

DID JESUS RISE FROM THE DEAD? (4)

DID JESUS RISE            FROM THE DEAD?                   (4)

     {copied from
      Y-Jesus.com}

Something Happened

But it wasn't the end. The Jesus movement did not disappear (obviously), and in fact Christianity exists today as the world's largest religion.

Therefore, we've got to know what happened after Jesus' body was taken down from the cross and laid in  the tomb.

In a New York Times article, Peter Steinfels cites the startling events that occurred three days after Jesus' death :

Shortly after Jesus was executed, His followers were suddenly galvanized from a baffled and cowering group into people whose message about  a living Jesus and a coming kingdom, preached at the risk of their lives, eventually changed an empire.

Something happened.... But exactly what? The question we have to answer with an investigation into the facts.

There are only five plausible explanations for Jesus'  alleged resurrection, as portrayed in the New Testament.

*  Jesus didn't really die on the cross
*  The "resurrection" was a conspiracy
*  The disciples were hallucinating
*  The account is legendary
*  It really happened.

Let's work our way through these options and see which one best fits the facts.

TWENTY SIXTEEN - PART THIRTY SEVEN

TWENTY SIXTEEN -             PART THIRTY                         SEVEN

                                             Hello folks,

Ruth's contract for Microsoft Word has now run out as well, so she can no longer do typing etc.  She is now trying surveys.

Tuesday 11th at 12 midday had a phone call from Andy - Put him in the picture. I know that Andy can't help more than he does, he is already scraping the bottom of the barrel to help us but just being able to talk to him made me feel better.  He agrees that we should sit and wait for the Lord to show us the next move.

We do know that Amanda and Andre need their money, as do Roz and Chris, the legal owners of the property. There are no bad feelings on our side, we realize that we must pay, we just don't know how and we have nowhere to go to free them of our presence. So we wait upon the Lord assured that He has a plan for our lives. We accept whatever He has in store for us.

Wednesday 12th - 9 am - still heard nothing from Amanda.

Friday 14th I lost my hearing aid again. It is forever falling out of my ear.  Searched everywhere and eventually had to call Ruth for help. She and Charmaine both hunted for it. She found it on the cushion of the typing chair. I am scared to use it in case I can't find it again.

Saturday 15th - power off       due to thunder storm. It is       the first time Harry stayed       with me through the storm.     He usually goes beserk and     scampers off to  Ruth, but       today for some reason he         decided to stay with me.

He was nevertheless very scared and stayed behind my head on the pillows.  The power was off for about two hours.

Sunday 16th October - still heard nothing from Amanda - It is very quiet here.

17th October, no airtime or data on tablet, only a small amount of airtime on phone.

Tuesday 18th -  again no power. Went off at 9pm.

Wednesday 19th - Still no power and no water at 10.30am.

Ruth has gone to fetch Sally's meds and some petrol for the generator and hopefully some water as there is now no water in the taps due to the borehole pump not being able to operate with the power off.  Given money by friend who always tries her best to help us.

Strong smell of diesel or petrol, don't know which - but now I know that Ruth is back.  She also brought some water.

Thank you Lord, we breathe again.

MY FAVORITE PSALMS - PART THIRTY NINE

MY FAVORITE  PSALMS -  PART                      THIRTY NINE

Bow down Thine ear O Lord, and hear me for I am poor and needy.

Preserve my soul  for I am                 holy.

O Thou my God, save Thy servant that trusteth in Thee. Be merciful unto me O Lord, for I cry daily unto Thee.

Rejoice the soul of Thy servant : for unto Thee O Lord do I lift up my soul. For Thou Lord art good and ready to forgive and plenteous in mercy unto them that call upon Thee.

Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon Thee for Thou will answer me.

Among the gods there is none like unto Thee,  O Lord, neither are there any works unto Thy works.

All nations which Thou hast made shall come and worship before Thee, O Lord, and shall glorify Thy Name.

I will praise Thee, O Lord,      my God, with all my heart      and I shall glorify Thy            Name forevermore.

For great is Thy mercy toward me, and Thou hast       delivered my soul from the     lowest hell.

But Thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious and longsuffering and plenteous in mercy and truth.

O turn unto me and have mercy upon me, give Thy strength unto Thy servant, and save the son of Thine handmaid.

Show me a token for good, which they that hate me may see it, and be ashamed; because Thou Lord hast holpen me and comforted me.

His foundation is in the holy mountains. The Lord loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

Glorious things are spoken of Thee , O city of God. Selah.

My sister didn't do as well as she had hoped on her driver's  test. It might have had something to do with how she answered this question:

"when the   .......... is dead, the car won't start"

She wrote  "Driver"

When my husband, James Rowles was in the seminary he was asked to preach at a small rural church. However the man who had to introduce him to the congregation had trouble pronouncing
his name; so James offered this verbal clue:

"remember rolls, like hot buttered rolls"

When the man introduced him he said:

"Let me introduce you to the Reverend James Biscuits."

MY FAVORITE PSALMS - PART FORTY

MY FAVORITE PSALMS -
 PART FORTY

O Lord, God of my         salvation I have cried     day and night before     Thee.

Let my prayer come before Thee, incline Thine ear unto my cry, for my soul is full of troubles and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.

I am counted with them that go down to the pit. I am as a man that has no strength.

Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom Thou rememberest no more; and  they are cut off from Thy hand.

Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness in the deeps.

Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and Thou hath afflicted me with all Thy waves. Selah

Thou hast put away my acquaintance far from me; Thou hast made me an abomination unto them. I am shut up and cannot come forth. Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: Lord, I have called daily upon Thee. I have stretched forth my hands unto Thee.

Wilt Thou show wonders        to the dead?
Shall the dead arise and         praise  Thee?  Selah.
Shall Thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? Or Thy faithfulness in destruction?

Shall Thy wonders be known in the dark? and Thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

But unto Thee have I cried, O Lord, and in the morning  shall my prayer prevent Thee.
Lord, why casteth Thou off my soul? Why hidest Thou Thine face from me?

I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up; while I suffer Thy terrors I am distracted. Thy fierce wrath goes over me; Thy terrors have cut me off.  They came round about me daily like water. They compassed me about together.

Lover and friend hast Thou put far from me and mine acquaintance into darkness.

DID JESUS RISE FROM THE DEAD? (3)

DID JESUS RISE             FROM THE DEAD?                     (3)
                                              {copied from
    Y-Jesus. com}

A Horrific Death And Then ....?

You know what Jesus' last hours of earthly life were like if you watched the movie by road warrior Mel Gibson. If you missed parts of the Passion of the Christ because you were shielding your eyes (it would have been easier to simply shoot the movie with a red filter on the camera), just flip to the back pages of any Gospel in your New Testament to find out what you missed.

As Jesus predicted, He was betrayed by one of His own disciples, Judas Iscariot, and was arrested. In a mock trial under the Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate, He was convicted of treason and condemned to die on a wooden cross. Prior to being nailed to the cross, Jesus was brutally beaten with a Roman cat-o'-nine tails, a whip with bits of bone and metal that would rip flesh. He was punched repeatedly, kicked and spat upon.

Then using mallets, the Roman executioners pounded heavy wrought-iron nails into Jesus' wrists and feet.  Finally they dropped the cross into a hole in the ground, between two other crosses bearing convicted thieves.

Jesus hung there for approximately six hours. Then at 3.00 in the afternoon - that is, at exactly the same time the Passover lamb was being sacrificed as a sin offering ( a little symbolism there, you think)  -  Jesus cried out, "It is finished"  (In Aramaic) and died.  Suddenly the sky went dark and an earthquake shook the land.

An even greater darkness of depression  annihilated the dreams of those who had become infatuated with His charisma and joyful vitality.
Former Lord High Chancellor of Britain, Lord Hailsham, notes, "The tragedy of the cross was not that they crucified a melancholy figure, full of moral precepts, ascetic and gloomy .. what they crucified was a young man, vital, full of life and the joy of it, the Lord of life itself. '' someone so utterly attractive that people followed Him for the sheer fun of it."

Pilate wanted verification that Jesus was dead, before allowing His crucified body to be buried. So a Roman guard thrust a spear into Jesus' side. The mixture of blood and water that flowed out was a clear indication that Jesus was dead. "The dead do not bleed, ordinarily, but the right auricle of the human heart holds liquid blood after death and the outer sac holds a serum called hydropericardium."  Once His death was certified by the guards Jesus' body was then taken down from the cross and buried in Joseph of Aramathea's tomb.. Roman guards next sealed the tomb, and secured it with a 24 hour watch.

Meanwhile, Jesus' disciples were in shock.  Dr. J.P. Moreland explains how devastated and confused they were after Jesus' death on the cross.
They no longer had confidence that Jesus had been sent by God.  They also had been taught that God would not let His Messiah suffer death. So they dispersed. The Jesus movement was all but stopped in it's tracks.

All hope was vanquished. Rome and the Jewish leaders had prevailed, - or so it seemed.

TWENTY SIXTEEN - PART THIRTY SIX

TWENTY SIXTEEN -            PART THIRTY SIX

  Hello folks,

I have now managed to get enough blogs done to bring
me through to the middle of November, with the exception of recipes and jokes.

7th October - Steve's birthday
Just found another comforting inspiring Bible verse as the 30th draws closer:

"FOR I AM THE LORD
YOUR GOD WHO TAKES HOLD OF
YOUR RIGHT HAND AND SAYS TO YOU
DO NOT FEAR;  I WILL HELP YOU"
Isaiah 41;13

The power went off  at 11.45am. We put the chicken in the oven at 10.30  - the potatoes are already steamed to make chips and the other veggies are ready to steam. Wait for power.

Sunday 9th October - all spiritual messages I watched on the TV  today were dealing with FAITH.  Confirmation because that is what my blog is about. God is strengthening my faith.

Vlooi has a very sore left paw.  The claw is completely twisted around - the back of the claw  is where the front should be and vice versa. She hops along keeping the left paw off the floor.

My eyes are also giving           me trouble again. I                   must remember to stay             away from computer               games, they seem to put           a lot more strain on my           eyes, than normal work.

Ruth takes Vlooi to the Vet on Monday 10th - a friend provides the cash.  While out, Ruth gets another SMS from Andre demanding immediate payment of the rent.  He now realizes we are more in arrears than he originally thought.

Ruth gets back with Vlooi - claws all nicely clipped and the problem claw disposed of.  She meets Amanda on arrival at home and breaks down in tears.

Amanda is apparently unaware of Andre's SMS - she hugs Ruth and says she will come over later as she is very busy getting her mom ready for the retirement home. She promises  to "sort it out."

Ruth and I both know that our backs are against the wall. We do not have any answers and we do not know what to do.

Hand it to the Lord.  Sit and wait. But at the same time try to get some transcription work up and running. Ruth also tries to contact the new coin dealer, without success.   Remember God is in control.  Nothing can happen without His authorisation. And if He allows it to happen it is for a reason. He will never allow something to happen to you without  a reason.

My niece was dragged into court by her neighbor who complained about her barking dogs. At one point the judge asked the neighbor a question and the neighbor didn't reply.

Judge:  " Sir, are you going to give me an                                answer?"

Neighbor:  leaping to his feet   "Are you talking  to me?  I'm sorry I didn't hear you. I have a hearing problem."

The case was dismissed

MY FAVORITE PSALMS - THIRTY EIGHT

MY FAVORITE              PSALMS - PART         THIRTY EIGHT
The haters of the Lord  should have submitted  themselves unto Him; but their time should  have endured forever.   He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

Behold O God, our shield, and look upon the face of Thine anointed. For a day in Thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

For the Lord our God is a sun and shield. The Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in Thee. Lord Thou hast been favorable unto Thy land. Thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob, Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of Thy people. Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah

Thou hast taken away all Thy wrath. Thou hast turned Thyself from the fierceness of Thine anger. Turn us, O God, of our salvation, and cause Thine anger towards us to cease. Wilt Thou be angry with us forever? Wilt Thou draw out Thy anger to all generations? Wilt Thou not revive us again so that Thy people may rejoice in Thee?

Shew us Thy mercy O             Lord and grant us Thy             salvation.  I will hear               what God, the Lord,                 will speak. For He will             speak peace unto his               people. And to His                   saints; but let them                   not turn again to folly.

Surely His salvation is nigh them who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land.

Mercy and truth are met together, righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Truth shall spring out of the earth and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

Yes, the Lord shall give that which is good and the land shall yield her increase.

Righteousness shall go before Him and shall  set us in the way of His steps.

DID JESUS RISE FROM THE DEAD (2)

DID JESUS RISE            FROM THE DEAD                       (2)

   {copied from
    Y-Jesus.com}

Sadly, not everyone is willing to examine the evidence. Bertrand Russell admits his take on Jesus was "not concerned" with historical facts. Historian Joseph Campbell without citing evidence, calmly told his PBS television audience that the resurrection of Jesus is not a factual event. Other scholars, such as John Dominic Crossan of the Jesus Seminar, agree with him. None of these skeptics present any evidence for their views.

True skeptics, as opposed to cynics, are interested in evidence. In a skeptic magazine ediorial entitled "What is a skeptic?"  the following distinction is given:  "Skepticism is ... the application of reason to any and all ideas  - no sacred cows allowed. In other words ....  skeptics do not go into an investigation closed to the possibility that a phenomenon might be real or that a claim might be true.  When we say that we are "skeptical"  we mean that we must see compelling evidence before we believe. "

Unlike Russell and Crossan, many true skeptics have investigated the evidence for Jesus' resurrection , we will hear from some of them and see how they analysed the evidence for what is perhaps the most important question in the history of the human race.  Did Jesus really rise from the dead?

Self-Prophecy

In advance of His death, Jesus told His disciples that He would be betrayed and arrested, and crucified and that He would come back to life three days later. That's a strange plan!  What is behind it?  Jesus was no entertainer willing to perform for others on demand; instead He promised that His death and resurrection  would prove to people (if their minds and hearts were open) that He was indeed the Messiah.

Bible scholar Wilbur Smith remarked about Jesus

When He said that He Himself would rise again from the dead, the third day after He was crucified, He said something that only a fool would dare say, if He expected longer the devotion of any disciples - unless He was sure He was going to rise. No founder of any world religion known to man ever dared say a thing like that.

In other words, since Jesus had clearly told His disciples that He would rise again after His death, failure to keep that promise would expose Him as a fraud. But we're getting ahead of ourselves. How did Jesus die before He (if He really did die) rose again?

RECIPE TIME - GARLIC BREAD

                                           RECIPE TIME -                                                    GARLIC BREAD

Ingredients:

1 long French loaf
1/4  lb butter
2 or 3 cloves of garlic

Method:

Extract the juice from the garlic - or chop it up finely in a food processor. Add it to the butter and mix well.

Cut the bread into one inch slices, but do not cut through the bottom crust.  Spread the butter between the slices and wrap the loaf in tinfoil.

Warm in oven before serving.

TWENTY SIXTEEN - PART THIRTY FIVE

TWENTY SIXTEEN -            PART THIRTY FIVE

                                          Hello folks,

today is the  3rd                       October - must pay TV licence. It is long overdue. Also in 20 days time I will be 87 years old. Strange how in this past year I have had three hymns continually running through my mind.

I wake up in the morning with them ringing word for word, I go to sleep at night with the same and often during the day as well.  But today I realize that the third verse in each one ends like this:

(1)- 3rd verse)  When Christ shall come
                            with shouts of jubilation,
                            to take me home, what
                            joy shall fill my soul
                            then I shall bow in
                            humble adoration and
                            there proclaim, My God
                            how great Thou Art

(2)- 3rd verse)  Will your eyes behold in
                            the   morning light,
the city of gold and the
                            harbor bright
                            with your anchor safe on
                            the heavenly shore and
                            all earths storms past
                            forevermore.

(3)- 3rd verse)  Child of the Kingdom
                            be filled with the Spirit,
                            Nothing but fulness thy
                            longing can meet
                           Tis the enduement for
                            life and for service
                           Thine is the promise so
                           certain, so sweet.

November coming closer.  This is a standard joke between Ruth and me. Out of a family of eight my parents and 5 siblings - I am the only one left.

In  eight months from May to December one of them died in each of these months; but in different years and mostly far apart; example; My father was the first to die  on 1st May 1964.  In the years following  one died in June 2000, one in July 2000, one in August 2010 one in September 1989, my mother in October, 1992 another sibling in December 1993.The only month left open is November and I am the only one left. So November is coming closer.

Bad news - Ruth gets SMS from Andre (our landlord) he wants his rent by 30th, October.  So much for Amanda's assurances.

Also Jason Brady - coin dealer only wants to pay us
R9100 for a R55000 coin collection.

4th October - Ruth contacts new coin dealer and again sends inventory.  Now waiting again.

I feel so ashamed as I sometimes allow the anxiety to get at me. Perhaps this could be a good thing as it brings me closer to God. I realize how helpless and inadequate I am without Him, and gain comfort from reading His Word, and meditating in His presence.

He is the author and perfecter of my faith. He is still busy teaching me - but I fail Him so often.

I actually want  His Name to be glorified when people see how mightily He brings us through this crisis! They will stand in awe.

Our heavenly Father has already done so much for us. If you have been reading my blog you will have seen how He has used family and friends as instruments  to provide for our every need, in miraculous ways.  Now our need has more than doubled our family and friends have reached their limits.  God again,  is the only One Who can help us.   We know He has a plan - He goes before us to show us the way.

Watch this space - We are trusting Him for another miracle.
