ONE HEARTBEAT AWAY -PART 41

                                            ONE HEARTBEAT                  AWAY

           PART 41

(Mark Cahill's Book)

One of my friends died recently,  - a Christian. He was hooked up to a dialysis machine when his heart stopped. The doctors rushed over
with the defibrillator paddles and shocked his heart back to life.

He looked at his dad sitting next to him and said, "dad, you would not believe what I just saw!"  The amazing thing about that statement, was that he had not seen in twenty years, he had lost his eyesight decades earlier from the diabetes that was slowly killing him.

He explained that his soul had lifted out of his body, and he could see the flat line on the heart monitor  next to his bed. He then began to take off on a journey. He said there was a white, consuming light with a glorious presence of love that came over him, and he saw flowers that had the most vibrant beautiful colors he had ever seen!  He told his father
"dad, if that is what death is, death is Okay !"
Five days after that he died.

Heaven is a very real destination, where you may go one day. At the funeral of her Christian husband, a woman was heard to say "He is the lucky one; I wish I were going to heaven today.
why couldn't it have been me?"   When we know where our loved ones are going, and where we are going, death is something we can look forward to without fear.

I heard the story of a young boy, who looked up at the summer sky and said, "if heaven is so beautiful on the outside I wonder how beautiful it must be on the inside!"

None of us has any
real clue about the glorious nature of what God has
prepared for those who follow Him.

The Bible says that in heaven there will be streets of gold and walls made of pearls, emeralds and
precious stones.

I thought it was interesting that what we highly value here on earth is something we will walk on in heaven - a plain ordinary paving material!
What does that say about heaven's spectacular
beauty?

Words cannot describe how amazing it will be.
No pain, no suffering, no disease, no crying, no death.  The best thing about heaven though, - the only thing we will care about when we finally get there - is that heaven  is where we will be able to talk face to face with our awesome Creator.

Will that be your destination for all of eternity?
