Hello Folks,

We have now discovered that A+A 
have been deliberately switching 
off the power in order to save  on electricity costs.  I have harbored 
such thoughts in my mind for a 
while now and tonight we proved it.  Ruth had had enough, it was now happening every night so tonight 
when the power went off for no 
reason she sent them a message  saying "please switch our power
 back on,"  she still had the phone
 in her hand when lo and behold the power suddenly came back on.

We are not amused, we have bent 
over backwards to comply with
their new rules, in order to keep the peace. 

I must mention here that water
 and electricity are included 
in our rent. But a few months ago
they decided to install a  prepaid
meter and also connected power supplies to their five staff  member's  homes. We have no objection to this but  what we do object to is that these people do not pay for electricity as it is partof their wages, but now we have
 to "foot the bill, "  for something that
 has nothing at all to do with us. (in a 
nutshell they are actually stealing our 
electricity in order to supply their workers with  free electricity.)

They had called previous meetings about the power issue with the tenants In earlier months but apparently their power bill was now exceedingly high, not surprising when you supply 5 families with free electricity.

 We only switch the geyser on every 2nd day for 2 hours and seldom use a heater and when we do it is usually just to keep us warm while we get dressed after taking a shower. Or maybe for a hour while I sit at the laptop. 

Our house is a third of the size of the house we lived in on the same property  eight months ago, and we never had a problem with excess usage 
of power while living there.

We don't do much cooking because even though it is          
winter we eat mainly raw 
salads. When we make potato chips we use our gas plate. Now all of a sudden we have 
a new set of  rules.

Newest  rules :  
they switch power off at 10am
back on at 1pm (staff lunch time)
Off again 2pm (end of staff lunch time)  
On again at 4pm

This does not apply on Saturdays and 
Sundays when they are both at home. So that they do not endure the discomfort.
It has  now become a nightmare to live 
here.
