ONE HEARTBEAT AWAY - PART 82

    ONE HEARTBEAT         AWAY

                                             PART 82

(copied from Mark Cahill's Book)

For I am the least of the apostles, that are
not meet to be called an apostle, because I
persecuted the church of God.
But by the grace of God, I am what I am; and His grace which was bestowed upon me was
not in vain; but I labored more abundantly
than they all; yet not I but the grace of God
which was with me.
Therefore, whether it were I or they, so we
preach and so ye believed.
Now if Christ be preached that He rose from
the dead, how say some among you that there
is no resurrection of the dead?
But if there be no resurrection of the dead,
then is Christ not risen.
And if Christ be not risen, then is our
preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God;
because we have testified of God that He rose
up Christ ; Whom He raised not up - if so be
that the dead rise not.
For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ
raised.
And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain;
ye are yet in your sins.
Then they also, which are fallen asleep in
Christ are perished.
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
(1st Corinthians 15: 1-19)

Remember what we said about eyewitnesses
earlier? We showed  that one eyewitness was
not considered  enough to prove anything in a
Jewish Court of Law. At least two eyewitnesses
were required to establish the truth of anything.

When Jesus rose from
the dead, He was seen
by at least 552 people
in 13 different places
in a period of 40 days.
The resurrection of
Jesus and His active
presence in the world
after His resurrection, were not behind closed
doors; rather they were out in the wide open
spaces so that everyone could see the marvelous
work of God in the resurrection of His Son.

This proved to those who saw Him, beyond the
shadow of a doubt, that He was God incarnate.
The Messiah. Think about that, He had to make sure that people throughout time, including us
today, had enough evidence to make the correct
decision.
